RoMi stands for...
Realistic Open-Minded Individuals

Once upon a time...
... somewhere
in a tiny attic
RoMi was born.
Now, we are based
on the oldest canal
in Amsterdam.
VISION
In the early 2010's,
we started working on
sustainable lighting.

It then sprouted into
the first sustainable
lighting brand in the world launched in 2016.

creating lighting
with dedication,
heart and
above all pleasure.

strong design
in pure materials.
Our Inspiration...
... comes
from nature,
its wonderful sites
& its pure resources.
Each light is the
reflection of a
natural landmark
such as
a mountain, river, island...
A STEP FURTHER
Our project started as climate neutral project
where we compensate for the CO2 emissions we emit.
​
We realised that, despite our efforts,
for some destinations and lights
(ie. number of boxes, weight etc.),
one tree cannot cover
all of the CO2 emissions
for some shipments/lamps.
​
This is why we propose to all our resellers
to participate with us in this adventure
by making a donation to us to plant an additional tree.
​
In this manner,
we go from climate neutral
to a climate positive project.
More than merely compensating,
we take away even more CO2 than we emit.
If we all did this, we would drastically reduce
our impact and provide more fresh and clean air.
​
This also means that our goal went from
500.000 to 1.000.000 trees by 2030.
